My experience in the employee benefits arena includes working with employers in the emerging technology space as well as software companies with 100-500 employees. I also became passionate about the startup community when serving on the Board of the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network and the Technology Association of Oregon HR Committee. While I do not replace your current broker relationship, I am available for benefits consulting projects for early-stage companies with minimal HR infrastructure as well as larger firms wanting unbiased employee benefits strategic planning. Sample projects include creating a strategic benefits program roadmap to attract and retain top talent.
Managing a broker RFP and wading through proposals from brokers can be daunting. In my experience, most brokerage firms sound the same in the proposal process. I can help you cut through the "fluff" to ensure there is not only the right technical expertise to support your firm but also an appropriate fit. One of my primary goals will be to ensure cultural alignment between you and your future benefits service provider.

The current talent shortage in the employee benefits industry is impacting client service. Some ways I can support your team include training carrier representative teams on how to more effectively work with brokers. In the employee benefits world, Account Managers and Technical Team members are invited to present to either brokerage firms or employers. Often Account Managers aren't given the tools or training to maximize communication to support a sales presentation, especially in our new virtual work environment. I have provided workshop-based training that can be customized for in person or virtual workshops for your hybrid and WFH team members. A program can also be customized to also include 1:1 coaching for key team members to maximize your customer growth and retention strategy.
